The YWCA Saskatoon’s Crisis Shelter & Residence is so much more than just a shelter. We also provide transitional housing that helps young women get out of the situation they are in and put them on the path to living an independent and full life.

Our youth residence is called Margaret’s Place. This is a four bedroom suite at the YWCA Saskatoon with room for up six youth aged 16 to 21. Margaret’s Place is a safe and comfortable living environment where the clients get assistance in learning valuable life skills that will enable them to succeed as adults.
Just a few skills they learn while living in the residence are:
- Budgeting and financial responsibility
- Parenting skills
- Food preparation and grocery shopping
- Caring for their physical and mental health and wellbeing
The program is offered to youth from any walk of life and allows them the chance to have a warm and welcoming support system as they work on establishing those important life skills and positioning themselves to be successful adults.
